The Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Ayrshire- Marketing & Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing and creating captivating content & events for use across multiple communications platforms to promote the work of DYW and the wider Education Team.
The role is pivotal to ensuring that the voice of Ayrshire young people, educators and employers is heard and evidence of good practice is showcased,
Use of multiple social media platforms, e-newsletters, website updates and editing content for the Chamber quarterly magazine are all crucial to supporting the team to increase engagement with key stakeholders.
Creation of new content- filmed and otherwise is important to keep communications fresh and relevant to each stakeholder group. This role will plan, produce and promote new content.
The role also has capacity to offer additional support to the team as and when required and add to value to the roles in our wider education team by supporting schools with event coordination.
In addition this is a supporting role for communications to the wider DYW school Coordinator network.
Responsibilities
- Planning & developing a comms plan to support the Regional Group and wider education team
- Oversee external communications for good news stories, event promotion and other relevant activity
- Support employers and other external stakeholders to promote opportunities across communications platforms
- Be responsive to interactions through the social media channels
- Liaise with DYW School Coordinators to promote opportunities
- Creation of monthly virtual calendar
- Support schools to plan and run events in school
- Manage event planning and communications for DYW events
- Supporting the Employer Engagement agenda by contacting employers/partners
- Attending meetings and events with employers and partners
Person specification
- Educated to degree level or have equivalent work experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience of managing external communications
- Evidence of strong stakeholder engagement
- Experience in event management
- Hold a valid Drivers License and have access to a vehicle
This role is office based with occasional travel to local events/meetings. 35 hours per week- Monday to Friday.
