Job Description

Based in the beautiful Scottish Borders (circa 1 hour south of Edinburgh), Emtelle is a well established global manufacturer providing solutions to the power, telecom and data centre markets. We have two sites in Scotland and form part of an international business stretching into Europe, the USA and Middle-East. The group is undergoing extensive growth and change right now. To support our growth we are recruiting for a Marketing and Events Officer. Reporting to the Head of Global Digital Marketing, we are seeking a proactive and highly organised Marketing & Events Officer. The ideal candidate will support the marketing department by managing exhibitions, events, merchandise, and other marketing initiatives. This role requires a dynamic individual, ideally with experience in event planning, logistics, and brand representation, ensuring smooth execution of marketing campaigns and corporate events.

Duties



Event Planning and Coordination:



Plan and organise company events, trade shows, and exhibitions that supports the groups exhibition calendar, client engagement and brand presence.

Merchandise and Branding Coordination:



Oversee the procurement, inventory, and distribution of promotional merchandise. Ensure branding consistency across all materials and event displays. Work with suppliers to design and produce high-quality branded merchandise. Track stock levels and manage reorder processes as needed.

Marketing Support:



Assist in executing marketing campaigns, including digital and offline channels. Support the development of content for social media, website, and email marketing. Maintain and update marketing collateral, ensuring materials align with brand guidelines. Collaborate with internal teams on product launches and promotional initiatives.

Budget Management:



Monitor event budgets and ensure expenditures remain within limits. Report on financial outcomes post-event. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:



Track event metrics such as attendance, engagement, and financial performance. Conducting Customer Survey's to inform further activity. Analyse data to improve future events. Compile and present event reports to management. Develop detailed event plans including timelines, schedules, and budgets. Producing briefing packs and following external events legislation and processes. Coordinate with vendors, venue operators, and other stakeholders. Ensure all logistical aspects are covered, such as catering, transportation, and accommodations. Ensure smooth operation during events, addressing any issues that arise during the event. Collaborate with the team to manage the organisation of stand graphics and branding at shows and events, pre and post event marketing & PR, local marketing initiatives, company merchandise, and clothing items. Support post-event analysis and reporting to measure success and ROI.

Requirements



Experience: Previous experience in event planning or a related field, preferably in a corporate setting. Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and detailed plans. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication. Project Management: Ability to oversee complex projects and meet deadlines. Problem-Solving: Quick thinking to address issues that arise during events. Creativity: Innovative ideas for event themes, decorations, and experiences. Negotiation Skills: Effective in dealing with vendors and securing the best deals. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with event management software and tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-33,000.00 per year
