As a Marketing Apprentice, the role supports the promotion of a family-focused children's activity centre through creative and digital marketing activity. The apprentice will assist with social media content, website updates, promotions, and campaigns aimed at engaging families and the local community. This role offers hands-on experience across a range of marketing tasks while developing practical skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, with guidance and training provided throughout the apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media: Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling engaging content across social media platforms to promote events, offers, and brand awareness. Monitor performance and respond to audience engagement where appropriate.
Data Analysis: Support the collection and analysis of marketing data, including social media insights, website traffic, and campaign results, to help measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Email Campaigns: Help design, write, and send email marketing campaigns to promote events, updates, and offers, ensuring content is engaging and aligned with the brand tone.
Text Campaigns: Assist with the creation and delivery of SMS marketing campaigns, targeting customers with timely promotions, reminders, and important updates.
SEO / Website: Support basic search engine optimisation tasks and assist with website updates, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, and optimised to improve visibility and user experience.
Blogs & Newsletters: Contribute to writing blog posts and newsletters that highlight events, promotions, and news, helping to maintain consistent communication with customers.
Paid Adverts: Assist in setting up, monitoring, and evaluating paid advertising campaigns across digital platforms to help drive bookings, enquiries, and brand awareness.
Events: Support the promotion of events, parties, and seasonal activities through marketing channels, and assist with on-site marketing activity when required.
Requirements
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
Education: The successful candidate must have achieved a grade 4/C in GCSE English and maths.
Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is preferred, as the location is not easily accessible by public transport and occasional travel may be required.
Written English Skills: Strong written English skills are essential, with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and well-structured content across digital platforms, including social media posts, emails, blogs, and website content.
Proactive & Willing to Learn: The ideal candidate will be proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn, with a positive attitude towards developing new skills. They should be keen to contribute ideas, take initiative, and support the implementation of creative marketing campaigns.
Creative Mindset: A creative background is advantageous, whether gained through education, hobbies, or personal projects. This could include content creation, design, photography, video, writing, or managing personal social media accounts.
