About Our Client
Our client is a specialist tree and plant nursery with a small, close-knit team dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services. Based in Castle Cary, they pride themselves on their customer service, attention to detail, and creativity when it comes to engaging with customers. The business has exciting plans to grow and is looking for a motivated apprentice to support marketing efforts across both online and offline channels.
About the Role & Responsibilities
As a Marketing Assistant Apprentice, you'll be hands-on with a variety of tasks that will help grow the brand and connect with customers. You will:
Assist with email marketing campaigns, social media scheduling, and blog content.
Support the creation of promotional materials such as printed leaflets.
Work with external suppliers, including printers and photographers.
Help design graphics and visuals using Canva or Adobe tools.
Contribute creative ideas to marketing activities and campaigns.
Provide general marketing support as needed.
This is an in-office role in a rural location, so being able to drive is essential.
What We're Looking For
We're not looking for any prior experience--what matters most is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will be:
Achieved C/4 or above in English and maths GCSE.
Able to reside and work within the UK.
Creative, sociable, and confident (not camera shy).
Keen to try new ideas and contribute to a small team.
Able to drive (due to location).
Ideally skilled in basic design (Canva/Adobe).
Strong in written English and communication.
An interest in horticulture, gardening, or outdoor living would be a bonus but isn't required.
The Apprenticeship
This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:
Campaign management;
Content creation;
Social Media marketing;
Digital and traditional communications;
Brand management;
Communication skills;
Project Management;
And much, much more.
All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.
In addition to this, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIM Foundation Certificate at no extra cost. This means that once you're finished on the apprenticeship you'll be awarded two distinct qualifications as opposed to one.
Equal Opportunities
The organisation values diversity and inclusion and is committed to providing equal opportunities to all. It aims to create an inclusive environment where employees are supported and able to thrive.
