Marketing Assistant

Bournemouth, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

At Faithworks We Believe That No One Should Be Alone On Their Journey When Life Is Tough

Why This Role Matters

Faithworks is growing in impact, in partnerships, and in possibility. We need a Marketing Assistant who lives and breathes external engagement: someone who creates content that gets noticed, builds momentum with partners, spots opportunities in the wild and helps turn them into real-world impact for local people. If you love connecting with people, telling compelling stories, and driving activity that leads to growth, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accelerate Partnerships & Business Development

Follow up with corporate and community contacts to keep momentum alive (e.g., Mazars, HSBC, cafes offering "extra on your bill", local businesses exploring collaboration). Help nurture relationships by being the friendly, organised, proactive point of contact. Work with senior staff to build and maintain a clear, strategic stakeholder map. Spot new opportunities for collaboration as you engage with the wider community.

2. Power Up Fundraising & Campaigns

Coordinate and promote fundraising campaigns and crowdfunding efforts to maximise reach and response. Support charity events with energetic, well-planned digital activity. Track and share results so we know what's working and can do more of it.

3. Create a Confident, Consistent External Presence

Produce punchy, engaging content across all social media channels to keep Faithworks front-of-mind with supporters, partners, and the wider community. React quickly to opportunities, news moments, partner activity, success stories, to build visibility and start conversations. Write lively, audience-focused copy that makes people want to read, share and act.

4. Keep Us Sharp with Data, Insight & Organisation

Maintain an up-to-date database of partners, leads, stakeholders and campaign activity. Gather analytics and insights to inform decisions and unlock new growth opportunities. Ensure information is shared clearly so we can act fast and act smart.

5. Drive Digital Creativity & Brand Energy

Design simple but strong visual content for digital and print campaigns. Support the creation of eye-catching fundraising materials, partnership packs and event collateral. Help translate ideas and direction into compelling visuals and messaging that stand out.

Skills, competences and experience

At Faithworks, we look for a great fit with our team; so the balance of character, chemistry and competence is really important to us.

Essential Skills

1. Confident creator of engaging, modern social content (video, stories, posts, reels).

2. Strong writer with a natural, lively "sizzle" style and an eye for what will catch attention.

3. Basic design skills (Canva/Adobe Express or similar) to turn ideas into crisp visuals.

4. Comfortable communicating externally with partners, supporters, businesses and the public.

5. Good organiser: can keep multiple threads moving without losing sight of the goal.

6. Able to collect and present simple data on campaign and social performance.

7. Curious, outward-looking and motivated by opportunities.

Desirable Skills

1. Experience in charity marketing, fundraising or partnership development.

2. Understanding of digital fundraising or corporate social responsibility.

3. Familiarity with CRM or stakeholder management tools.

Essential Personal Qualities

1. Externally minded: naturally curious about people, networks and opportunities beyond our walls.

2. Task-focused but agile: you get things done but can switch gears quickly when something better comes up.

3. Confident but grounded: comfortable taking initiative, but knows when to check in.

4. Energetic and resilient: keeps momentum and positivity without losing realism.

5. Outcome-driven grafter: motivated by results and willing to chase the important details.
