About the Role
The Marketing Assistant will provide direct support to the Marketing Manager, with a strong focus on the planning, coordination, and administration of events, tradeshows, and professional education programmes. The role also assists with wider marketing activities, including email CRM, content creation, social media, campaign support, and analytics. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organised individual who prides themselves on their attention to detail, to develop their skills within a dynamic and fast-paced commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Event & Exhibition Planning
Support the planning and delivery of tradeshows and exhibitions.
Coordinate logistics including contribution and planning of stand design, branding, collateral, promotional items, accommodation, and equipment.
Liaise with venues, organisers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure all requirements are met.
Prepare and maintain event documentation, schedules, and checklists.
Assist with registrations, delegate communication, and administrative tasks.
Attend events where required, providing on-site support to ensure smooth delivery
Manage post-event follow-up including debriefs, asset inventory management, and reporting.
Professional Education Events
Support the organisation and promotion of UK-wide clinical educational events.
Coordinate venues, catering, materials, and attendee communications.
Ensure events are professionally executed, well organised and aligned with the company's reputation and values.
Marketing Administration
Maintain and organise marketing files and assets, photography, and event materials.
Manage bookings, purchase orders, invoices, and budget tracking related to events.
Keep marketing databases, calendars, and documentation up to date.
Digital & Content Support
Assist with social media planning, scheduling, and monitoring.
Prepare and proofread written content for digital channels.
Support email marketing activity including building templates and preparing mailing lists.
Help gather content, case studies, and imagery from internal teams.
Analytics & Reporting
Track and record engagement metrics from campaigns, events, and social media.
Support the production of performance reports and presentations.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data.
Person Specification
Essential
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital tools.
Creative skills and the ability to develop engaging content
Attention to detail
Proactive approach to problem-solving and taking ownership of tasks and outcomes
Strong interpersonal skills and team player
Willingness to travel and support events as required (including occasional evenings/weekends).
Desirable
Experience in marketing, events, or a similar administrative role.
Confidence in using social media platforms
Experience of using email marketing tools and CMS systems
Experience in using Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva
Interest in healthcare, medical education, or product marketing.
Photography or videography experience (advantageous but not essential).
