Overview:




We are seeking a highly motivated, talented and detail-orientated Marketing Assistant to join our growing team!


Based in Busby, to the south of Glasgow, Riverside Music College offers a range of innovative industry-leading commercial, educational and community-led creative arts services.


The ideal candidate will support various marketing initiatives, contributing to the development and execution of marketing strategies. This role requires a blend of creativity and analytical skills, as well as proficiency in various marketing tools and platforms. You will play a vital role in enhancing our brand presence and driving engagement across multiple channels.

Duties:Assist the Marketing Manager to develop strategic marketing initiatives and campaigns, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Assist the Marketing Manager to prepare reports using Microsoft Excel and Google Analytics which track campaign performance and ROI. Manage social media accounts, creating engaging content and monitoring performance metrics. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging platforms to ensure social media growth and engagement. Assist to develop and deliver a social media communications calendar that aligns with business goals. Assist to create visually appealing marketing materials using Adobe Photoshop. Update news stories / blog on our websites using WordPress creating compelling copy. Organise coverage (filming / photography) for all internal and external RMC events where appropriate. Liaise with current students and Alumni, and the wider RMC network to create valuable content. Organise and create mail campaigns and assist in maintaining customer lists. Edit and proofread content to maintain high standards of quality and consistency. Oversee and maintain marketing permissions in line with GDPR. Engage with industry partners, artists, and influencers to grow our audience and brand.


Experience and Skills:Strong ideation and creation skills. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Previous experience in a marketing role. Skilled in using Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with CMS (Wordpress). Ability to film, edit and post high quality video content. Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and KPIs. Passion for content creation, music and the creative arts. Knowledge of GDPR regulations.
