Godstone Farm welcomes over 250,000 visitors each year, and our priority is to ensure that every guest feels welcomed, engaged, and receives an exceptional visitor experience in a fun, safe, and family-friendly environment.
The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in shaping how the farm connects with its audiences--both online and on-site. This creative, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking individual will bring fresh energy and innovative ideas to our marketing activities, with a particular focus on TikTok as our growing social content platform.
Working closely with the Customer Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for creating engaging, on-trend, and authentic social content that tells the story of the farm, drives awareness, and inspires visits. From spotting the latest viral trends to brainstorming original campaign ideas, the Marketing Assistant will thrive on creativity and innovation.
In addition to social media creation, this role will support broader marketing activities, including email marketing, photography and video shoots, website updates, and event promotion. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a good eye for content, and a strong understanding of what makes digital audiences tick.

Main Responsibilities:
Content & Marketing
Lead on TikTok content creation, including planning, filming, editing, and posting.
Keep a constant eye on social media trends, adapting them creatively for the Godstone Farm audience.
Support the Customer Operations Manager in planning and executing seasonal campaigns and promotions.
Create engaging content for other platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) where needed.
Assist with content scheduling, community engagement, and responding to online comments/messages.
Capture day-to-day life at the farm - animals, staff, guests, and events - to share across channels.
Edit video and photo content using tools such as CapCut or Canva.
Support in collecting, editing, and filing marketing photography and videography assets.
Assist with website updates, email newsletters, and digital marketing materials.
Contribute creative ideas for improving engagement and driving visitor numbers.
Team & Collaboration
Support colleagues in content creation days, photoshoots, and live event coverage.
Share insights on audience engagement, trends, and content performance.
Be a confident brand ambassador, representing the fun, family-friendly spirit of Godstone Farm.
Work closely with the Customer Operations Manager to align content with brand tone, voice, and objectives.
Collaborate with the Visitor Experience and Events teams to promote upcoming activities.
Administration & Organisation
Maintain an organised content calendar and asset library.
Ensure all content meets brand guidelines and is appropriate for family audiences.
Track and report on content performance metrics, highlighting opportunities for growth.
Assist with administrative tasks where the business requires it.
Health & Safety
Follow all relevant health, safety, and safeguarding guidelines when filming or working on-site.
Ensure that filming on the farm does not disrupt guest experiences or animal welfare.
Promote a safe and respectful working environment for both team and visitors.
Experience & Qualifications:
Qualification in Marketing, Media, Communications, or related field desirable.
Proven experience in social media content creation, especially TikTok.
Strong understanding of current social media platforms and digital trends.
Confident video editing and photography skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Creative thinker with the ability to bring ideas to life from concept to completion.
Experience in the leisure, tourism, or visitor attraction industry is advantageous.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of permanent employment thereafter. We anticipate the role will be between 3 and 5 days per week, but we're flexible for the right candidate. The role will include weekends, bank holidays, and event days. The job holder is required to be adaptable with their working hours to meet the needs of the business. Working hours can be discussed in more depth at the interview stage.
