About the Role



Environmental Compliance Limited (ECL) is a small to medium sized privately owned company which provides a range of environmental consultancy and occupational hygiene testing services in the UK and globally oversees. The company assists our clients with achieving and maintaining environmental regulatory compliance and personal health and safety compliance within the workplace. Established in 2001, we are now the largest emissions monitoring test house in Wales and among the top 5 in the UK.

Following years of continued growth and expansion in sales and staffing levels, ECL's Manager of Business Performance & Strategy is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Marketing Assistant to support him in the planning, execution, and tracking of campaigns and initiatives. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about all aspects of marketing, from social media and content creation to event coordination and analytics.

Key Responsibilities



Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels Create and schedule content for social media, email newsletters, and blogs Conduct market research and analyse competitor activity to identify opportunities Support the organisation of promotional events and materials for trade shows, on-site staff and partnerships Maintain and update marketing databases, CRM systems, and contact lists Monitor and report on campaign performance metrics (engagement, conversions, etc.) Collaborate with design, sales, and departmental managers to ensure brand consistency Handle administrative tasks such as vendor coordination, and filing marketing materials

Essential Skills & Qualifications



1-3 years of experience in a marketing, administrative, or communications role Strong written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms for creating and scheduling email newsletters via platforms (e.g., Hubspot, Canva, Mailchimp, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics) Experience and knowledge of CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) Practical experience updating websites using WordPress Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals, including on-page optimisation Experience using SEO tools such as Yoast / SEMRush / Moz / Google Analytics Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word Confident working with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams in a collaborative environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace

Nice to Have



Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools Basic understanding of Google AdWords and Paid Online Campaigns
