We are seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Assistant to support the marketing and communications for our venues and activities. Organised and detail orientated, our Marketing Assistant will support the team to deliver a creative digital content across our popular social media channels. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be needed to develop relationships with key partners and Rotherham Council communication team.
We are seeking a Marketing Assistant who has excellent time management skills and is able to adapt to change and deadlines. Leading on the development of printed material, our Marketing Assistant will work with designers, artists and partners to produce high quality marketing materials for venues and exhibitions.
The Marketing Assistant will: Contribute to the development of and implementation of marketing campaigns designed to maximise audiences, users, visits and income.
Lead on the production and distribution of marketing materials including leaflets and flyers.
Support the service in conducting marketing campaigns such as temporary exhibitions.
Support the team to deliver a digital programme across social media platforms and collating data on reach and followers.
Maintain effective relationships with other elements of the council wide communications and marketing team to facilitate the provision of an integrated council wide campaign based approach.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year.
