The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Manitou UK marketing department. This position involves coordinating events and trade shows, managing marketing materials, maintaining databases, and ensuring smooth communication across the dealer network and wider business.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, people person with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities1. Shows & Events
Organise and coordinate trade shows, exhibitions, and events from planning through to completion.
Manage all hotel bookings, travel arrangements, meals, and hospitality for attendees.
Maintain detailed event schedules and ensure all deadlines are met.Handle show administration, including attendee lists, ticketing, stand rotas, and internal communication.
Collate and distribute show enquiries to relevant departments and sales contacts.
Provide marketing support to dealers for their own events to ensure consistent Manitou branding.
2. Factory Visits
Arrange and coordinate factory visits to France and Italy.
Book flights, hotels, and transfers, and coordinate travel itineraries.
Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to develop and manage visit agendas.
3. Stock Control & Merchandise
Maintain and monitor brochure stock, ensuring up-to-date literature is available for events and training.
Manage clothing and merchandise stock, including ordering and maintaining an in/out tracking system.Ensure sufficient promotional materials are available for customers, events, and dealer visits.
4. Database Management
Keep all contact lists and databases (customers, dealers, key accounts, press) accurate and up to date.
Ensure all entries include correct contact information such as email addresses and phone numbers.
Support the marketing team by maintaining an organised and efficient data management system.
5. Market Analytics
Manage market data submissions to trade and manufacturing associations to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Collate and format reports for internal use, sharing insights with relevant stakeholders.
6. Dealer & Sales Support
Respond promptly to sales and marketing enquiries, logging and forwarding them to the appropriate salesperson or dealer.Provide marketing assistance to dealers, ensuring their promotional activities align with Manitou brand standards.
7. General Marketing Support
Support the marketing and sales team with general administrative and project-based tasks.
Assist with ad-hoc marketing activities and initiatives as required by the Marketing Manager.
Keep the dealer mapping system updated with current territories and contacts.
