The Role
Bishop Lloyd and Jackson Solicitors is seeking a driven and proactive
Marketing & Business Development Associate
to support the firm's growth and day-to-day operations. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across marketing, business development, HR, and compliance, working closely with the Marketing & Business Development Coordinator, with progression towards managing the firm's marketing and BD activities
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for marketing, business development, and creative approaches to work. This role is ideal for someone who is ambitious and eager to grow their career within a professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Report and work closely with the Marketing & Business Development Coordinator
Assist in delivering the firm's marketing and business development strategy
Manage and update marketing materials, including brochures, website content, and social media platforms
Support with event planning and coordination, including seminars, webinars, and networking events
Conduct research on clients, markets, and competitors to support business development initiatives
Communicating and building relationships with organisations and other third parties
Draft and proofread content for newsletters, press releases, and client-facing communications
Maintain and update client and contact databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GDPR
Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and resources
Provide support with day-to-day HR administration, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, and maintaining staff records
Liaise with candidates and recruitment agencies to support the hiring process
Provide assistance with Legal Aid compliance tasks, ensuring files and processes meet regulatory standards to assist with preparing for audits
Support the Marketing & Business Development Coordinator with day-to-day administrative and strategic tasks
Work collaboratively with colleagues and management to deliver firm-wide projects
Provide general administrative and reception support, including scheduling and handling telephone enquiries as required
What we're Looking For
Strong interest in marketing, business development and HR
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication abilities with a strong focus on client satisfaction
Excellent IT Skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and documents management skills
Self-motivated, adaptable and able to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools
Experience in a legal profession and/or legal environment (desirable)
Experience in HR administration, recruitment or compliance (desirable, but not essential)

Full-time role
1 Year Fixed Term Contract
Hybrid working model (office/remote split available)
Salary Range: 24,000 - 26,000 (pro rata)
