Margaret Howell is a contemporary British clothing designer who has worked successfully in men's and women's clothing for over five decades. Today, Margaret Howell clothes are sold worldwide with 12 own shops in Europe, over 100 outlets in Japan and an established online business.


We are now seeking a Marketing and Communications Assistant to support our Marketing and Communication Department in delivering key elements of the marketing and PR plan. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in marketing or communications to gain valuable, hands-on experience within a dynamic team, contributing to a range of initiatives that support the organisation's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities



Manage sample requests for UK and (some) international markets by undertaking timely send outs. Liaise with junior press to support press coverage for the brand. Compile monthly PR results and weekly press cuttings in a report to circulate to all staff for information. Assist the Marketing and Communications team on special projects and events such as seasonal Press Days, Events and Fashion Week activity to ensure excellent execution. Involvement in sample coordination to aid design and production teams for internal shoots, events and meetings. Host showroom appointments with press and present the collection for potential press coverage. Update and maintain the customer database for CRM mailings, coordinate CRM mailings in-line with the seasonal marketing calendar and within GDPR guidelines. Undertake department administrative tasks including developing and updating the marketing calendar on a monthly basis, raising Purchase Orders and generating reports on our system (SAP) to ensure the department runs smoothly and efficiently. Act as communications contact to support all the UK and European shops, with responsibility for ensuring marketing collateral (such as campaign brochures, look books and calendars) is communicated, delivered and monitored within agreed time frames. Provide support for localised customer events and projects across shops in UK and Europe. Undertake seasonal market research to seek out suitable opportunities to maximise local business. Role Requirements



Genuine interest in Marketing and Communications, evidenced by education and/or work experience. Excellent organisation, administration, and communication skills. Proven ability to work on different tasks with competing deadlines. Demonstrable ability to work quickly and accurately. Proactive and a 'can do' attitude. Excellent IT skills including MS Office and Excel. Experience of Adobe Photoshop an advantage. Strong connection with our brand identity and ethos.
