Purpose of Role
To lead all external communications, marketing, and audience engagement to grow awareness and support. Responsibilities include digital strategy, branding, supporter communications, public relations, corporate partnerships, and managing the annual fundraising event. Line manages the Fundraising Manager and contributes to senior leadership at board level.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Brand (30%)
Develop and deliver annual communications plan with quarterly KPIs.
Ensure consistent messaging across channels.
Represent marketing and fundraising at senior management level.
Prepare and design the annual SORP report
Digital, Content & social media (25%)
Manage website and social channels; create 2-3 original content pieces monthly.
Track analytics and grow audience engagement by 10% per quarter.
Coordinate two fundraising campaigns annually with Fundraising Manager.
Corporate & Event Leadership (25%)
Secure 1 new corporate partnership per year.
Plan and deliver 1 flagship fundraising event annually.
Build long-term corporate relationships.
Communications & PR (10%)
Secure 4+ media placements yearly, in line with ASA guidelines.
Produce quarterly newsletters and stakeholder updates.
Manage patrons or ambassadors as applicable.
Line Management & Team Coordination (10%)
Line-manage Fundraising Manager with regular support and appraisals.
Coordinate joint campaign planning and foster collaborative culture.
What You Bring
3-5 years' experience in marketing or communications (charity/health preferred).
Proven content creation, digital growth, and brand storytelling skills.
Experience with corporate partnerships and event planning.
Strong leadership, organisation, and writing skills.
Commitment to ethical communications and inclusion.
