Marketing & Communications Manager

who would like to help us reach our mission to "earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service".

Purpose of this role



Develop, implement, and execute the marketing plan covering segmentation, positioning, messaging, and campaign management using digital and conventional marketing tools/channels to support business growth ambitions.

Your key responsibilities are



Define and implement annual Marketing & Communications plans. This includes setting, and measuring, success criteria.

Identify customer personas and create collateral to support the various stages of the customer journey.

Develop and execute demand generation and conversion activities through actions such as organic and paid search campaigns, organic and paid social media, content creation, events and more.

Seek business opportunities in each customer market segments as part of supporting the sales and commercial functions.

Research and understand customer target groups and their needs for each of the three business areas.

Understand competitor activity to develop differentiated value propositions.

Manage the database related to relevant contacts within the target groups and conduct demand generation marketing campaigns.

Help build rapport with media and associated journalists to support PR and thought leadership strategies in conjunction with our PR agency.

Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and compliance to established brand norms.

Support the production of marketing collateral taking advantage of synergies with other parts of the business and brands.

Put together content to support production of blogs, white papers, website, social media, and other relevant publications to increase our brand and thought leader position.

Responsible for content management of websites and social media channels.

Qualifications



Degree qualified.

Master or Postgraduate in Marketing.

Experience/Knowledge



Extensive relevant working experience in a marketing and communications role within the B2B sector.

Experience with account-based and segment marketing.

Working knowledge of digital marketing and automation tools such as CRM, paid search and paid social campaigns.

Knowledge relating performance and growth marketing, from awareness to conversion.

Knowledge about customer personas, segmentation.

Marketing collateral development (conventional and digital assets).

Abilities/Skills



Out of the box creative thinker with the ability to finish tasks within agreed timescales.

Effective communications skills in written and spoken media with the ability to write compelling and engaging content.

Comfortable in a changing yet exiting business growth environment.

Strategic yet execution driven.

Comfortable working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable



Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification.

Digital marketing (CRM, paid social, CMS).

Relevant industry experience in utilities, energy technology or house building.

A keen interest in activities related to decarbonisation, electrification, digitalisation, and the impact this and regulation has on the new build sector.
