Marketing Content Creator (with a strong focus on Social)

to join our innovative marketing team.


This is an exceptional opportunity to jumpstart your career, playing a pivotal role in showcasing Accu's unique proposition and Accu Superheroes to our target audience of engineers and procurement professionals. You'll be instrumental in shaping our social media presence through compelling video content, from short-form explainers to behind-the-scenes glimpses of our operations and the incredible projects our components enable.


As the official engineering partner of Huddersfield Town AFC, you'll also have unique opportunities to leverage this partnership, capturing engaging content that connects precision engineering with the passion of football, showcasing how our components might even play a role in their success.

Responsibilities



Social-First Video Strategy & Ideation:



Contribute to the development and execution of Accu's social media video content strategy, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and business objectives. Engage and collaborate with our partners to create compelling stories about them, their work and how they are building tomorrow through their partnership with Accu. Brainstorm and develop innovative video concepts tailored for various social platforms (e.g. TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Facebook) that appeal to engineers and procurement professionals. Identify and translate complex engineering concepts or product features into visually engaging and easily digestible video formats.



Videography & Production:



Plan, shoot, and direct high-quality video content, including product demonstrations, behind-the-scenes tours of our state-of-the-art facility, employee spotlights, customer success stories, and educational "how-to" guides. Operate video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to ensure broadcast-quality visuals and sound. Coordinate with internal teams (e.g. engineering department on technical specifications, product, operations, sales) and external partners (e.g. customers, industry experts) to plan and execute video shoots.



Video Editing & Post-Production:



Proficiently edit raw footage into polished, dynamic, and on-brand video content using industry-standard software. Incorporate motion graphics, text overlays, music, sound design, and visual effects to enhance storytelling and engagement. Ensure all video content adheres to Accu's brand guidelines, visual identity, and technical specifications for each platform. Optimise videos for various platforms, including aspect ratios, resolutions, and file sizes.



Documenting "Accu Engineering Superheroes":



Proactively seek out and capture stories that embody Accu's disruptive nature, technological innovation, customer impact, and unique culture - particularly focusing on the

engineering talent

that drives us and uses our components. Showcase how our components are empowering

real-world engineering superheroes

in groundbreaking projects globally. Document internal events, team achievements and the passionate people behind Accu, highlighting their expertise and contributions.



Huddersfield Town AFC Partnership Content:



Develop and produce engaging video content specifically related to Accu's official engineering partnership with Huddersfield Town AFC, identifying opportunities to showcase the intersection of engineering and sport. Capture behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, or explanatory videos that highlight the technical aspects or components involved in the club's operations, facilities, or even player performance (where relevant and permissible). Collaborate with the club's media team as required to ensure content aligns with partnership objectives and brand guidelines.



Social Media Publishing & Engagement:



Schedule, publish, and manage video content across Accu's social media channels. Write compelling captions and calls to action that drive engagement and traffic to accu.co.uk. Monitor social media trends, comments, and messages, actively participating in online conversations with our audience. Analyse video performance metrics (views, engagement, reach, conversions) and provide insights for continuous improvement.



Skills



Experience in Film Production, Videography, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. A compelling

portfolio or showreel

demonstrating strong video production, filming, and editing skills. Proficiency in video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve). A foundational understanding of social media platforms and how to optimise video content for each. An innate curiosity about engineering, technology, and manufacturing, with the ability to grasp complex concepts and translate them visually. Excellent creative thinking, storytelling abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Strong organisational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable collaborating with diverse teams and individuals (engineers, sales, leadership). A proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable individual eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, innovative environment. A desire to challenge the status quo and contribute to a disruptive business model.



Bonus Points For:



Experience with motion graphics and animation (e.g. Adobe After Effects). Photography skills for complementary static social content. Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools. Basic understanding of SEO principles for video content (e.g. Google Search Console). Any experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or B2B environment (academic projects count!)



Technical Skills We Use:



G-Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides) for collaboration. Graphics: Adobe Creative Suite Video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve). Social media scheduling/management platforms (Zoho Social).
