We're looking for a marketing coordinator to join our growing group of companies!
The perfect candidate for this position will have a primary (or strong at least!) skill in design - to carry out tasks from newsletter layouts to letterheads and leaflets to brochures. In addition, this person will coordinate all areas of the group's marketing output where third parties are engaged to complete the end task - such as web development, SEO and advertising.
The successful candidate will work with the four directors to develop the output for the group and come up with new ideas that'll take us forward. The four partners have historically sort-of done this role with the assistance of third parties but it's time to have somebody in house to speed up this process and have a more consistent delivery of all things marketing.
In the group are four accounting brands, a specialist finance firm, a pub (a recent acquisition!) and the group itself - along with some new businesses we are waiting to launch. We have strong brands which all have specific images that need to be strengthened and developed.
Required
Strength in graphic design. To create more layout-focused media such as letterheads, up to mult-page brochures and web content layouts. If you don't have a demonstrable strength in design and an ability to look after these areas, this role isn't for you.
A solid communicator. A near-perfect standard of written and spoken English, with an ability to deal with people at all levels - directors and others. Someone strong who will demonstrate passion behind their suggestions but will welcome direction from others, too.
Desirable
Experience with web design. We use an agency to put together our sites but would like to be able to maintain these, to an extent, in-house
Copywriting. Someone who can take a brief and turn it into content for our websites, newsletters or documentation.
Other
You must already live in, or within commuting distance of our head office in Leicester city centre.
You'll be using a Macbook - you don't need experience but the role lends itself nicely to this sort of equipment so it'd be good to see that you have used these products in the past.
This is a fully office based position as we don't work from home. We believe in proper teamwork and this isn't possible when everyone is miles away from each other - this goes for everyone in our group.
We have a strong benefits package including private medical, enhanced pension contributions, extensive birthday rewards and lots more. The salary for this role will be set as your experience commands it. Similarly, we don't keep people on their starting salary for long, if their skill and output grows! If you start at the lower end of the range, it's because you have little experience (but are adept at design) - the higher end will demonstrate some experience and/or some other skills that the group will benefit from. Please feel free to communicate your desired salary in your covering letter!
Please ensure you've included a covering letter with your application. We want to know a bit about you, why Gilroy Finance Group is somewhere you'd like to work, what about this role excites you - for example. Just something more than a list of your education and experience (which are great but education and experience aren't the things we'll work with, day to day). You can be informal in your letter - your personality won't come across in a formal letter!
