Palmers Garden Centre is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Marketing Coordinator
to join our Business Development team. This role is ideal for a creative, hands-on marketer who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and can turn strategy into action across multiple sites.
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for delivering our marketing plan, managing digital including social media and in-store promo, and supporting the growth of our customer base and brand presence. They will have two focus areas: Online promotion and instore promotion.

Founded over 114 years ago, Palmers Garden Centre is one of Leicestershire's oldest and most respected family businesses. Still owned and led by the fourth and fifth generation of the Palmer family, we've grown from humble market stalls to three thriving retail sites with over 150 employees.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Deliver and operationalise the marketing plan in line with the business development strategy.
- Manage and grow Palmers' social media presence, including community engagement across all channels.
- Create engaging content for social media, email campaigns, and the company website.
- Design promotional materials including in-store signage, digital graphics, and cafe menus.
- Manage and update website content using WordPress and other relevant platforms.
Primary Key Performance Indicators
- Following the marketing calendar and completing on time or earlier.
- Increasing the social media following to above our top competitors.
- Increasing the app sign ups by 10% month on month for first 12 months.
- Increasing the footfall across the 3 sites to pre pandemic levels.
