Overview


We are looking for a

Marketing Coordinator

with a knack for communicating and a flair for strategising and implementing marketing campaigns for Ming-Ai (London) Institute and its projects. Ming-Ai (London) Institute is a charitable educational organisation that aims to promote and preserve Chinese cultural heritage in the UK.

The applicant should have the right to work in the U.K.

The Marketing Coordinator is required to contribute to existing marketing, branding and advertising plans, while assisting with the development of fresh initiatives in line with the Institute's missions. You will also be involved in maintaining our websites and attending events and activities to take photos and video recordings for publicity materials.

This role is suitable for a candidate with some graphic design skills on hand who is looking to have a career in the non-profit sector. We are a small dedicated team within the institute, and the right candidate needs to be able to prioritise tasks and be willing to contribute ideas to the projects and collaborate with other team members.

It is crucial that you have a strong interest or knowledge in Chinese cultural heritage and an openness to learn about other cultures. You should be highly organised,

The ideal candidate will be equipped with extensive experience in a wide range of marketing functions such as communications, digital marketing, advertising, branding, and social media. To ensure success as a Marketing Coordinator, you must be an organised person who can withstand the pressures of handling varied tasks at the same time and meeting deadlines. Top candidates will exhibit critical thinking skills, strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Develop and design layout templates using Canva, Photoshop or InDesign on publicity materials ranging from but not limited to: flyers, PDF documents, worksheets, IG carousel, etc. Develop and maintain social media platforms ranging from but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, WeChat, etc. Video editing Maintaining the websites and information using CMS (training will be provided); Assisting in the organisation and development of the virtual classroom using Microsoft Teams; Administrative support to the office in a variety of ad hoc tasks;

PERSON SPECIFICATION



A. ESSENTIAL



The successful candidate must possess: o A strong interest in Chinese cultural heritage and educational works;

Bilingual: fluent in both English and Chinese, able to proofread both traditional and simplified Chinese characters; Creative flair and the ability to interpret briefs and transform them into visual language; Knowledge in design & video editing tools like Canva or Adobe Premiere Pro, InDesign, Photoshop; The ability to take ownership of your own tasks and also be a team player; Good communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills in establishing collaborative working relationships with members of all project teams and all related parties; The ambition to learn about other cultures, develop new skills and gradually take on more responsibilities; and Flexibility. Able to travel to the office and other cities for activities when required.
