The Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, and working closely with the senior leadership team, this pivotal role will execute a compelling marketing plan and evolve our strategy, that builds Personal Group's reputation, drives brand awareness and fuels sustained lead generation across all channels.
You'll bring passionate creativity, disruptive thinking and inspiring leadership to galvanise a talented team and energise the marketplace--delivering measurable results at pace while maintaining a structured, methodical approach.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Growth
- Set clear sales and marketing objectives, define "where to play and how to win," and drive rapid lead generation through innovative, high-impact campaigns.
Leadership & Team Development
- Motivate, coach and develop a high-performing marketing and new-business team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Brand & Proposition
- Shape and articulate a differentiated brand narrative, proposition messaging and thought leadership content that set us apart in a competitive market.
Performance & Governance
- Establish robust KPIs, report to the Senior Management Team and Board, and ensure compliance with FCA, Consumer Duty and other relevant legislation.
Client Engagement
- Lead high-profile client discussions, prevent churn, and collaborate across departments to enhance the customer journey and maximise ROI.
Budget Management
- Oversee and optimise marketing and sales budgets to ensure strong return on investment.
About You
You are an accomplished marketing leader with a first-class track record in B2B marketing--ideally within transport, logistics, distribution, manufacturing or retail--and you thrive in dynamic, fast-changing environments. Experience in marketing to an over-loaded HR audience is preferable.
Essential Experience & Skills
Deep expertise in B2B marketing strategy, lead generation and campaign development.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to measure, track and improve marketing performance.
Proven success in turning around or establishing a challenger brand in a commoditised market.
Hands-on experience with SEO, website management, email marketing, paid search and social media optimisation.
Demonstrable ability to build, inspire and manage high-performing marketing teams.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a flair for impactful content creation.
Desirable Extras
B2C marketing experience.
Exposure to insurance, employee benefits or SaaS products.
Selling to HR Directors or similar decision-makers.
Design and creative competencies.
