We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Marketing Coordinator and E-Commerce Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our online presence and driving sales through various digital channels. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, project management, and marketing expertise to enhance our marketing and e-commerce strategies and ensure a seamless customer experience. This is a new role focused primarily on business development, with the opportunity to help structure a new department within the business, and so creative problem solving and adaptability are crucial.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the garden centre, gift centre, speciality foods and cafe departments of our business to form a cohesive and compelling marketing output that is engaging to both new and existing customers.
Conduct market analysis, such as consumer polling and tracking browsing behaviour, to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape, to inform marketing strategies.
Manage product listings on our Shopify platform, ensuring accurate descriptions, images, and SEO optimisation.
Develop and implement effective marketing and e-commerce strategies to increase awareness, sales and customer engagement.
Collaborate with colleagues and consultants to deliver optimised digital marketing campaigns, such as email marketing, automations and Google Ads, utilising tools for segmentation and targeting to maximise reach, traffic and efficacy.
Work in conjunction with colleagues to create compelling copy for product descriptions, advertisements, and social media posts that resonates with our target audience.
Monitor website performance using Google Analytics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement, making edits and uploading dynamic content such as blogs and new showcase features.
Manage customer feedback and public relations on behalf of the company, to maintain and improve the company's reputation, ensure a professional and friendly digital outreach to customers, and improve overall trust and value in the company.
Experience
Experience in e-commerce / digital marketing roles is essential.
Strong proficiency in SEO techniques and tools for optimising online content.
Familiarity with image editing software and other creative software.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives from conception through to execution.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel or PowerBI, for data analysis, product file manipulation and KPI measurement.
Clear and unpretentious communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail in copywriting and strong sense of coherence in public messaging.
Ability to manage time effectively with sensible and accurate prioritisation skills.
Organisational skills, including analysing data trends and making informed decisions based on findings.
