About the Role
We're looking for a warm, proactive and creative individual to take on the role of Marketing & Events Manager for our Wellbeing Cafe, a nurturing space that supports parents, carers, and families within the community. This role is ideal for someone who loves bringing people together, has a strong grasp of social media and local engagement, and is passionate about wellbeing, inclusion, and mental health support.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Publicity
Set up and manage dedicated social media pages for the Wellbeing Cafe (e.g. Instagram, Facebook)
Create regular, engaging content and event promotions across platforms
Write and distribute content for local newsletters, publications, and online community boards
Ensure events are well-publicised with appropriate branding and tone of voice
Support visibility of the cafe through flyers, posters, and community outreach
Event Planning & Coordination
Research and liaise with guest speakers, local wellbeing practitioners, and community partners
Arrange and schedule talks, sessions, and wellbeing activities aligned with the cafe's mission
Support the setup and smooth running of cafe sessions (Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 4:00pm -6:15pm)
Track and promote event attendance, engagement, and feedback
Work alongside our Parent Support Worker to co-host events and signpost families to appropriate services
Administrative & Strategic Support
Support tracking of KPIs and data collection (e.g. attendance, referrals, feedback)
Assist with evaluation reports and funding documentation
Help ensure a welcoming, inclusive environment that reflects the values of Arts for Life
Collaborate with the wider team to shape the future vision of the Wellbeing Cafe
Skills & Experience Required
Experience in marketing, events, or community engagement (professional or voluntary)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confident with social media and content creation tools
Organised, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple small projects at once
Friendly and approachable, with a genuine interest in people and wellbeing
Ability to work independently and as part of a small, passionate team
A knowledge of local community services or experience in mental health support is a bonus
