This is a dynamic and varied role, ideal for a proactive marketing professional ready to take the next step. The Marketing Executive will support the Head of Marketing with the day-to-day delivery of marketing plans across The Coach Travel Group umbrella brand and Johnsons Coaches & Whittles Coaches.
The role focuses on marketing execution from campaign delivery and social media management, to copywriting, content creation, LinkedIn marketing and event support. It will involve both digital and offline tasks and requires someone with excellent communication, organisational and creative skills who can thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Execution & Campaign Delivery
Support in the planning and delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns, promotions and brand communications.
Coordinate the creation and rollout of marketing materials across email, web, print and social.
Assist with internal and external campaign schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
Ensure marketing activity is aligned across all Coach Travel Group companies.
Content Creation & Communications
Write and create engaging content for emails, websites, social media, printed materials and direct mail.
Contribute to press release writing and story generation for local and trade PR opportunities.
Develop and manage LinkedIn content and strategy to build brand awareness and support B2B goals.
Generate ideas for seasonal campaigns and help shape messaging for various customer audiences.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
Manage social media scheduling, posting and engagement across Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Supports with website loading at brochure launches and website updates.
Support email marketing execution including writing, building and scheduling eShots.
Monitor campaign performance and support in analysing results.
Team & Meeting Support
Support the Head of Marketing with planning, management and execution.
Coordinate meetings, action plans and marketing calendars across The Coach Travel Group, Johnsons and Whittles.
Liaise with suppliers, partners and designers to support ongoing campaigns and projects.
Events & Promotions
Assist in organising and delivering internal and external events and promotional activity.
Support with organising photo/video shoots, marketing stands and branded materials.
Help prepare presentations and marketing support for internal and external events.
Person Specification
Essential
1-2 years of experience in a marketing role.
Strong copywriting and content creation skills across digital and print platforms.
Knowledge of social media platforms and scheduling tools (especially Facebook and LinkedIn).
Experience with design tools such as Canva
A proactive mindset with the ability to generate ideas and take initiative.
Highly organised with good time management and project coordination skills.
Strong IT skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong interpersonal skills and confidence working in a team and independently.
Desirable
Experience in the travel, transport or tourism sector.
Familiarity with website CMS platforms and email marketing software (e.g. Mailchimp).
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.
Knowledge of SEO and basic digital reporting.
A marketing-related qualification (degree, CIM, or equivalent).
