The Marketing Executive will support the Head of Marketing with the day-to-day delivery of marketing plans across The Coach Travel Group umbrella brand and support Johnsons Coaches & Whittles Coaches.
We're looking for a proactive, creative and organised Marketing Executive to join The Coach Travel Group team. This role is integral in delivering impactful marketing and communications across our group of companies, including Johnsons Coaches, Whittles Coaches and other associated brands.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Execution & Campaign Delivery
Support in the planning and delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns, promotions and brand communications.
Coordinate the creation and rollout of marketing materials across email, web, print and social.
Assist with internal and external campaign schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
Ensure marketing activity is aligned across all The Coach Travel Group companies.
Content Creation & Communications
Write and create engaging content for emails, websites, social media, printed materials and direct mail.
Contribute to press release writing and story generation for local and trade PR opportunities.
Develop and manage LinkedIn content and strategy to build brand awareness and support B2B goals.
Generate ideas for seasonal campaigns and help shape messaging for various customer audiences.
Internal Communications
Plan, create and manage regular internal communications for over 600 staff across the group - including newsletters, announcements, and updates from senior leadership.
Collaborate with all companies to ensure consistent and engaging communication that supports team morale, engagement and understanding of business goals.
Support the delivery of internal campaigns (e.g. charity initiatives, awards, staff surveys and operational updates) and coordinate communication across multiple depots and companies within the group.
Public Relations & External Communications
Assist in managing PR activity for The Coach Travel Group and its brands, drafting press releases, liaising with media outlets and coordinating group-wide announcements.
Support brand reputation by handling ad hoc external comms and maintaining alignment across public messaging for the group.
Coordinate and support crisis communications alongside senior leadership when required.
Commercial Campaigns & B2B Marketing
Support with delivery of targeted marketing campaigns to promote our coach hire services, contracts and commercial offerings across key markets including education, corporate, social groups and the public sector.
Support B2B lead generation and client communication through professional and engaging LinkedIn content, case studies, email campaigns and printed materials.
Work with the sales team and General Managers across the group to understand business priorities and align campaigns with commercial targets.
General Marketing Support
Contribute to campaign planning and creative execution across both digital and offline channels.
Ensure all marketing materials are consistent with group branding and tone of voice.
Skills & Experience
Strong written communication skills, with experience writing for both internal and external audiences.
Ability to work across multiple projects and brands, managing deadlines and stakeholders with confidence.
Some experience in B2B marketing, LinkedIn content creation, or internal communications is beneficial.
A collaborative approach, with confidence to work cross-functionally and across business units.
Person Specification
Essential
1-2 years of experience in a marketing role.
Strong copywriting and content creation skills across digital and print platforms.
Knowledge of social media platforms and scheduling tools (especially Facebook and LinkedIn).
Experience with design tools such as Canva
A proactive mindset with the ability to generate ideas and take initiative.
Highly organised with good time management and project coordination skills.
Strong IT skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong interpersonal skills and confidence working in a team and independently.
