Opportunity Overview


As a key part of the Income Generation Team at the Lake District Calvert Trust, the Marketing Executive will support the work of both the Sales and Fundraising teams to increase awareness and engagement and deliver sales and fundraising income targets.

You will promote the Lake District Calvert Trust as a unique specialist outdoor centre welcoming guests with disabilities to enjoy the benefits of accessible adventure and reinforce our purpose as a compelling charity deserving of support.

We are looking for the ideal candidate to work up to 30 hours per week, with a salary range of 28,000-32,000 FTE. We are flexible and open to hybrid working.

We have two centres that provide a range of services, located on the outskirts of Keswick.

Key Accountabilities



As a Marketing specialist, you will play a key role in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote our products, charity, increase brand awareness, and drive supporter engagement.

Create engaging content for newsletters, social media accounts, website and other marketing materials to promote brand awareness and engagement.

Manage and optimize online marketing initiatives, including SEO, email marketing, and paid social media campaigns.

Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitor strategies, and new opportunities to enhance marketing strategies.

Analyse the performance of marketing activity track KPIs, and provide insights to inform future activity.

Oversee the design, production and dissemination of marketing and communications collateral.

Write and distribute press releases and work with Managers and Trustees to provide guidance on PR campaigns

Person Specification



We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic individual to help realise our income generation ambitions. You must have a genuine commitment to the voluntary sector and identify with our core values.

As we are a small organisation, you must be a collaborative team player who builds positive relationships and supports colleagues to ensure overall success.

An understanding and empathy for working with people with disabilities and those working in the disability sector is essential. Disability Awareness Training will be provided upon commencing the post.

Skillset



Preferably 2 years of experience in a marketing role (ideally in digital marketing).

Proficient in marketing tools and platforms (Google Analytics, SEO, email marketing software, social media management tools, etc.).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to analyse data and agree actions.

Excellent organizational and project management skills, including liaison with external suppliers

Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).

Strong team working focus with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the demands across the whole organisation Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative & prioritise workloads
