Marketing Executive

to join our busy team at Hopwells - one of the UK's leading, family-owned foodservice wholesalers.

Working in a small but dynamic marketing department, you'll help shape and deliver a wide variety of projects - from digital campaigns and website management to creative print materials and social media. This is a varied role that offers real scope to grow, progress, and make your mark. You will be involved in the whole marketing mix and your skill set will be developed to its full potential!

What You'll Do



The role is wide-ranging and will flex to your strengths, but initially your time will be broadly split across three key areas:

Website Management (30%)

Maintain, update, and optimise our website using the CMS. Maintain and evolve the website site library, keeping a constant eye for missing images or product features. Upload product imagery, new content and copy for banner adds and features. Monitor performance and suggest improvements to boost traffic and engagement.

Published & Digital Materials (60%)

Manage and deliver high-quality print and e-format publications, including: Our flagship Product Guide (3,000+ products). Bi-monthly Love Foodpromotions magazine. Seasonal & Christmas publications. Create banners, e-newsletters, email campaigns, app content, and promotional offers. Work with InDesign, Canva, Adobe, and DotDigital to deliver professional assets.

Social Media & Content (10%)

Manage and grow our social channels with engaging posts and updates. Create video content, including filming, editing, and publishing supplier-led features. Monitor engagement and contribute to content strategy.
Beyond these, you'll also be involved in wider marketing functions including supplier liaison, events, product launches, photoshoots, exhibitions, and supporting with day-to-day communications.

Key Responsibilities



Manage digital assets for 3,000+ products including branding, photography & nutritional info. Deliver or support campaigns across print, email, web, app and social platforms. Proofread, check brand compliance, and liaise with external designers and suppliers. Create content (copy, images, video) for online and offline use. Plan, deliver and monitor DotDigital email campaigns. Analyse marketing performance and prepare reports with recommendations. Support with events, exhibitions, tasting days, and supplier meetings. Respond to internal and external marketing enquiries.

What We're Looking For



You'll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, varied role, with the skills and confidence to juggle multiple projects.

Essential Skills & Experience



Marketing experience within a business, organisation or agency. Knowledge of the full marketing mix, particularly digital channels. Confident communicator with excellent writing and proofreading skills. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, multitask, and work to deadlines. Analytical skills, including intermediate Excel knowledge. Accuracy and a keen eye for detail. Strong problem-solving approach.

Desirable



Marketing experience within foodservice or FMCG. Experience with CMS platforms, DotDigital, Canva, Adobe Suite, and video editing. Driving licence.
