Mobile for Development (M4D) is a dedicated global team within the GSMA, which operates at the intersection of the mobile ecosystem and the development sector. Our aim is to stimulate digital innovation and deliver both sustainable business and large-scale socio-economic impact. Our research and insights platform, in-market expertise and community of partners push forward digital innovations and implementations that empower underserved populations. To date, we have reached 260 million people.
The GSMA Innovation Fund sources innovative solutions leveraging digital and emerging technologies and supports them to scale and create favourable outcomes for local communities, which leads to greater digital inclusion, financial inclusion and resilience to climate and humanitarian shocks.

About the Role



This role is a key cornerstone of the GSMA Innovation Fund team. The role plans and executes the marketing strategy for the overall GSMA Innovation Fund, and also works with the M4D programme marketing leads to help ensure that all programmes are consistent in their promotion and communication of the different Fund rounds.

This role reports to the Senior Marketing Manager, Connected Women and Connected Society, and works closely with the GSMA Innovation Fund team and the M4D Marketing team.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead on the GSMA Innovation Fund's overall marketing and content, including planning and implementing the strategy and vision to align with donor KPIs. Work closely with each marketing programme lead to ensure a consistent approach is adopted for each round, and identify ways to streamline any inconsistencies in marketing outputs. Work closely with the Innovation Fund directors to develop the overall GSMA Innovation Fund narrative, and implement this messaging across outputs such as videos, brochures, web copy, infographics and collateral for events. Maintain the digital grantee portfolio (the Innovation Fund website) to ensure it stays up-to-date and relevant for all audience segments, including grantees, MNOs, investors, Tech Hubs and donors. Act as brand custodian and ensure that the Innovation Fund team adheres to the brand guidelines in all of their outputs. This includes supporting the team on PowerPoint presentations and graphics. Copy writing and editing of webpages, social media, blogs, marketing emails, video storyboards and scripts, and press activities. Work with external agencies and designers to produce content such as reports, videos, event collateral and web development. Provide analytics on web traffic and social media. Lead on and deliver all marketing for GSMA Innovation Fund related events, including promotion, content creation, collateral design and delivery, and post-event analytics.

About YouProfessional experience in marketing, with a proven track record of managing projects successfully. Experienced in web development. Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to express complex or commercial ideas clearly, concisely and persuasively. The ability to communicate effectively across multiple channels and build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. A creative, solutions-orientated approach to tasks and problem-solving. Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic and international environments. Intellectual self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. A positive, can-do attitude and a strong approach to relationship management. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel, often at speed, while maintaining high standards and attention to detail. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to track, measure and optimise marketing performance across different channels and mediums. A solid understanding of marketing best practices for web, email and social media content. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, WordPress, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Google Looker is advantageous. Willingness and ability to travel internationally, when required.
