SBFM is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Marketing Manager to lead the delivery of marketing activity that supports business growth, lead generation and brand visibility across a B2B environment. This is a hybrid role, with three days per week based in our office.
This role will oversee day-to-day marketing delivery while working closely with sales and bids to support pipeline growth. You'll bring a strong understanding of digital marketing activity, performance tracking and lead generation, alongside experience managing PR, content and brand communications. While writing and content creation remain part of the role, the focus is on driving results, improving systems and ensuring marketing activity contributes directly to commercial outcomes.
You will manage a Marketing Executive, work alongside a Lead Graphic Designer, and collaborate with external agencies to deliver joined-up, data-led marketing activity across digital, PR and sales support channels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of SBFM's marketing strategy, ensuring activity supports lead generation, business growth and brand objectives.
Work closely with sales and bids teams to develop marketing materials, presentations and supporting content that help win new business and support tender submissions.
Oversee and optimise digital marketing activity, working with agencies and internal teams to support paid activity, website performance and lead generation.
Manage the SBFM website, ensuring content is up to date, optimised for performance and tracked through Google Analytics.
Use Salesforce, lead forensics and marketing platforms to monitor lead performance, understand engagement and improve conversion.
Manage PR and corporate communications, building and maintaining strong relationships with media and external partners to raise SBFM's profile.
Oversee content creation across key channels, including website, campaigns, case studies and internal communications, with a clear focus on quality and relevance rather than volume.
Line manage and support the Marketing Executive, providing direction, prioritisation and development.
Work collaboratively with the Senior Graphic Designer and Associate Graphic Designer to deliver high-quality, on-brand marketing and sales materials.
Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistency across all marketing activity and touchpoints, and manage relationships with external marketing agencies.
Qualifications and Skills:
A degree or equivalent in Marketing or a related subject is desirable.
Proven experience in a B2B marketing role, ideally within a growth-focused or service-led business.
Demonstrable understanding of marketing best practice, with a proactive approach to keeping up to date with evolving tools, channels and processes.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with exposure to Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign desirable).
Broad knowledge of marketing strategy, channels and brand management, with the ability to apply this in a practical, commercial setting.
Strong written communication skills, with the confidence to produce clear, engaging and on-brand content when required.
Strong knowledge of marketing strategies, channels, and branding.
Competence as a creative writer.
In return you will receive:
28 days holiday (Inc Bank Holidays)
Newly renovated office with on-site gym
Free onsite parking
Pension Scheme
Regular company events
