XUK Camps runs holiday camps (day and residential) for children and teens across the UK. We offer fun, safe, engaging and activity-rich experiences across sports, arts, drama, and outdoor adventures. Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive, creative and results-focused Marketing Manager to join us on a short-term basis. The main goal: drive a significant increase in customer bookings for our upcoming camps. With a limited budget, success will depend on ingenuity, strategic thinking, and strong networking.
You'll work alongside a team, including a designer (brochures, posters etc)
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement imaginative, low-cost marketing strategies and campaigns aimed at increasing camp bookings.
Identify and build partnerships and collaborations (e.g. local schools, youth organisations, community groups) to reach new audiences.
Monitor and analyse campaign performance, booking data, and customer acquisition metrics to identify what works (and what doesn't).
Adjust and optimise marketing tactics based on data and feedback.
Manage and prioritise marketing tasks within a small budget -- get the most impact for the least spend.
Provide clear, regular reports on marketing activity and results to the leadership team.
Additional responsibilities if you have the experience
Manage digital marketing activities: social media (organic and paid), email marketing, website content/updates, SEO, possibly community forums or parenting groups.
Create compelling content -- e.g. posts, blogs, newsletters, graphics -- that resonates with parents and drives conversions.
Essential Skills & Experience
Results driven focus.
Proven track record in marketing (agency, freelance or in-house), ideally with measurable results (e.g. lead generation, conversion, customer acquisition).
Creative thinker: able to generate effective low-cost ideas, make the most of limited resources, and find new growth opportunities.
Excellent communication and networking skills -- comfortable reaching out to potential partners, community groups, schools, and stakeholders.
Data-driven and analytical: able to interpret metrics and adjust campaigns accordingly.
Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing a varied workload independently.
Flexibility: comfortable working variable days per week, possibly including evenings or weekends when necessary.
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience working with families, children's services, education or youth-oriented organisations.
Background in events marketing, community outreach, local advertising.
Familiarity with grassroots marketing and community-based outreach.
Strong digital marketing and content skills: social media, email campaigns, content creation, website updates/SEO.
