Overview of the Organisation



The London Basketball Association (LBA) provides sustainable and regular participation in the sport of basketball whilst aiding and encouraging a variety of career paths for young people living in London's most deprived and isolated communities.

What is LBA looking for?



The London Basketball Association is pleased to announce that an opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Manager to join our intensely committed organisation.

We are seeking a hardworking candidate to work as the Marketing Manager on a full-time OR a part time basis for a minimum of 6 months (probationary period) which could lead to a permanent role. The Marketing Manager will be required to assist and lead on key areas of LBA's exceptional work. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant and innovative charity and help bring enjoyment and vitality to young people from deprived and isolated communities. Most of the tasks will require using your own computer, so it is essential that you feel comfortable and confident using MS-Office software and Google-Suites.

The main purpose of this position is to develop and implement short and long-term marketing strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, and to drive compelling campaigns, develop strong marketing strategies and design effective social media plans.

Key Responsibilities



To comply with all job role rules and demands when representing LBA. To develop and manage marketing plans for all media channels. To ensure that all marketing strategies are aligned with LBAs objectives. To edit & create content in order to promote the LBA. Create content to post on LBA's social media accounts. Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration. Approves and oversees the creative development of promotional materials, website content, advertisement, and other marketing-related projects. To produce creative content, including videos and blog posts. To write and proofread any marketing content. To effectively manage social media channels (e.g., Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) to enhance audience engagement. To manage, evaluate and review marketing campaigns, advertising, and SEO (search engine optimization) to make sure the correct mediums are being used and campaigns are effective To identify opportunities to raise the profile of LBA, particularly through external conferences, events, and seminars. To provide training and support for interns/volunteers undertaking marketing responsibilities. Where appropriate [for UK candidates] occasional travel required to events and workshops to help capture content.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience



Knowledge



Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Web Trends). Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy. Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or related field (desirable but not essential). In-depth knowledge of best practices in online marketing and measurement. A willingness to remain abreast of the latest trends, best practices, and ethics.

Skills



Demonstrates excellent social media, writing and presentation skills. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company. Significant communication (verbal, written, listening) skills. Have film, photography, and interviewing skills. High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. Strong project management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize, be detail-oriented, and meet deadlines. Proven expert with planning, monitoring, and reporting. Strong analytical and numeracy skills.

Experience



Proven experience in developing and executing marketing plans and campaigns. Proven experience designing interactive applications and networking platforms. Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Ad-words campaigns. Demonstrates expertise of handling Marketing-related projects at various strategic levels. Experience using social media and social media's analytical tools. Experience using video & photo editing software. Demonstrates expertise in handling Marketing-related projects at various strategic levels.
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: Up to 600.00 per month

Expected hours: 5 - 15 per week
