Marketing team have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, supporting its mission to champion excellent employment standards across the region.



In this role, you'll lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of targeted marketing activity for the Charter including campaigns, content, and flagship events that raise awareness, strengthen perception, and drive employer engagement.



You'll work closely with the Director, Head of the Charter, and the wider delivery team, as well as GC's central Marketing function, ensuring all activity is aligned, high-quality, and effectively communicates the Charter's impact and objectives.


Key responsibilities:




Implement, manage, and evaluate a multi-channel marketing plan that positions the GM Good Employment Charter effectively and delivers the strategic priorities outlined in the Delivery Plan. Increase brand awareness and drive growth in Supporter and Member organisations through strategic marketing campaigns across digital, print, PR, events, out-of-home advertising, newsletters, podcasts and video content. Lead the digital marketing strategy, including paid and organic campaigns, ensuring high-quality user journeys and a strong, positive experience across all touchpoints. Line-manage a small team of Marketing Executives, providing mentorship, performance management, and opportunities for professional development, while overseeing the delivery of coordinated, creative marketing campaigns. Develop and deliver engaging content, including writing and recording podcasts, and work with suppliers and media partners to design targeted campaigns that address specific marketing challenges. Lead end-to-end project management for flagship events such as the Good Employment Awards and Good Employment Week. Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders, including Charter Board Members to support campaign delivery and strategic event activity. Analyse and report on the performance of all marketing activity, using insights to identify trends, inform decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.

About You:




Ability to work confidently with high-level stakeholders and manage sensitive or confidential information appropriately. Proven ability to work independently, using initiative and a solutions-focused approach. Demonstrated leadership or management potential, with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Key Skills & Experience:




Extensive experience in multi-channel marketing or communications. Strong project management and organisational skills, able to work independently and deliver to deadlines. Expertise in marketing planning, campaign management, SEO, PPC, CMS, and digital analytics (e.g., Google Analytics). Proven content development skills, including copywriting, editorial, and digital/print content creation. Experience managing or mentoring team members and engaging confidently with internal and external stakeholders, including agencies and senior leaders. Skilled in building and maintaining high-level relationships with partners, PR, creative, and media suppliers. Experience managing budgets, evaluating campaigns, and reporting to management or senior leadership.
