The Marketing Manager is responsible for translating and delivering the group marketing strategy across Cove Group businesses, ensuring integrated campaigns, content, and channels perform effectively, drive growth, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
This role exists to translate strategy into action, leading the marketing team, managing priorities, and ensuring marketing activity is executed to a high standard, on time, and with measurable impact.
The Role
As Marketing Manager, you report into the Head of Marketing and are accountable for the day-to-day delivery of marketing activity across Cove Group.
You lead and develop the marketing team operationally, setting clear priorities, managing performance, and fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement, turning strategic direction into clear plans, campaigns, and outputs. You manage performance, optimise activity, and ensure marketing supports revenue growth, audience engagement, and brand consistency.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You are expected to be close to delivery while maintaining a clear view of performance, priorities, and team capability.

Strategy & Delivery
Translate the group-wide marketing strategy into clear, actionable and integrated marketing plans that align with business objectives and customer needs.
Lead the planning and delivery of integrated B2B and B2C campaigns across Cove Group businesses.
Own marketing calendars, priorities, and delivery timelines.
Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on brand, and to agreed objectives.
Continuously optimise marketing activity based on performance data and insight.
Experience & Engagement
Ensure marketing activity delivers consistent, high-quality brand experiences that resonate with target audiences across all channels.
Oversee content, campaigns, and messaging to ensure relevance and audience engagement.
Work with Senior Marketing Officers to ensure content and campaigns align with brand standards.
Champion customer-focused marketing that drives engagement, trust, and loyalty.
Use data and market insights to inform decision-making, optimise campaigns, and demonstrate marketing effectiveness
Operational Management & Compliance
Lead, mentor, and support the marketing team in daily operations, fostering professional growth and effective collaboration.
Manage workflows, processes, and project management tools to ensure efficient delivery.
Ensure compliance with data protection, advertising standards, and internal governance.
Maintain clear documentation, processes, and reporting across marketing activity.
Oversee risk management and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal marketing standards.
Develop and coach marketing team members, supporting their skills growth and career progression
Financial & Commercial Performance
Own and manage allocated marketing budgets, driving efficient use of resources to maximise return on investment and commercial impact.
Monitor campaign ROI, lead generation, and conversion performance.
Work closely with Finance and the Head of Marketing to track spend and forecast performance.
Ensure marketing activity contributes directly to revenue growth and commercial outcomes.
Collaboration & Communication
Serve as the key operational liaison between marketing, sales, operations, and senior leadership, facilitating communication, alignment, and strategic execution.
Provide clear direction, feedback, and support to Senior Marketing Officers and Marketing Officers.
Report regularly to the Head of Marketing on performance, risks, and opportunities.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing marketing team culture.
Key Performance Indicators
Performance in this role will be measured through a combination of quantitative and qualitative indicators aligned to the Cove Group's PDR framework.
These include:
Successful delivery of marketing plans and campaigns
Marketing contribution to revenue, lead generation, and footfall
Campaign performance against agreed KPIs
Efficient use of budget and resources

Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a marketing management role
Strong campaign planning and delivery experience
Experience leading and managing marketing teams
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and performance metrics
Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills

Experience working across multiple brands or business units
Background in tourism, leisure, heritage, or experience-led sectors
Experience managing marketing budgets and reporting performance
