You will be responsible for:
Commercial Strategy & Planning

  • Translate Phoenix growth objectives into clear marketing strategy and quarterly plans.
  • Own business unit pipeline contribution and marketing ROI.
  • Carry out ongoing competitive analysis to understand market positioning, win/loss trends and competitive threats.
  • Identify and size growth opportunities across new markets, geographies, product launches, segments and revenue streams.
  • Build commercially grounded business cases to support marketing investment decisions.
  • Produce and share a monthly competitive intelligence summary.
Campaign Strategy & Briefing
  • Lead robust campaign planning and briefing from commercial objective through to delivery.
  • Produce high?quality briefs covering objectives, target personas, key messages, competitive positioning, success metrics and channel strategy.
  • Ensure all activity is driven by customer insight, commercial priority and competitive context.
  • Review creative concepts, providing business?unit context and commercial challenge where needed.
Performance, Insight & Optimisation
  • Track and analyse pipeline contribution, conversion rates, ROI and cost per lead/opportunity.
  • Turn performance data into clear commercial insight and practical recommendations.
  • Partner with the Head of Marketing to review results, providing context on what's working.
  • Recommend optimisation priorities to central delivery teams based on business impact.
  • Monitor competitor marketing activity and assess implications for strategy.
Customer Experience & Digital Presence
  • Identify friction points, conversion barriers and content gaps across the customer journey.
  • Work with Web and Operations teams to prioritise improvements based on commercial impact.
  • Ensure Phoenix's digital experience reflects strategic priorities and competitive positioning.

Commercial & Strategic Marketing Expertise
  • Strong B2B marketing experience with a demonstrable commercial track record.
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into clear, effective marketing strategies.
  • Experience contributing to measurable pipeline growth, revenue impact and ROI.
  • Confident building business cases and justifying marketing investment.
Campaigns, Execution & Performance
  • Experience briefing and managing agencies and/or internal teams to deliver campaigns.
  • Solid understanding of demand generation, content marketing and campaign measurement.
  • Comfortable working with marketing technology, performance analytics and reporting.
  • Able to turn insight into action -- understanding why deals are won or lost and adjusting approach accordingly.
Market Insight & Growth Focus
  • Experience identifying and quantifying market opportunities across products, segments or geographies.
  • Strong capability in competitive analysis and market intelligence gathering.
  • A growth mindset, with the ability to spot and act on new opportunities.
Stakeholder Influence & Ways of Working
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, buyer journeys and revenue models.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Experience working cross?functionally (Sales, Product, Operations) to drive shared outcomes.
  • Clear, confident communicator -- able to simplify complexity and provide clear direction.
  • Comfortable influencing without direct authority, building credibility through strong relationships.
  • Resilient and adaptable, able to thrive in ambiguity, balance competing priorities and negotiate for shared resources.
