Position Overview



The

Marketing, Membership & Events Assistant

will support the promotion of all NWAA activities, programmes, and events, ensuring members are kept informed and engaged. This role involves coordinating marketing activities, managing member communications, and assisting in the delivery of industry events that promote growth and development within the Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing (AEM) sector and other member businesses in the region.

Key Responsibilities



Marketing & Communications



Develop and implement effective email marketing campaigns to engage current and prospective members across digital and print channels. . Update and maintain the NWAA website with news, events, and relevant information. Work with outsourced agencies to produce the quarterly industry magazine Plane Talk*.
Create monthly digital newsletters, including compiling articles and news updates. Undertake basic graphic design tasks (image placement, layout adjustments, etc.). Utilise SEO strategies to enhance online visibility and attract new members through various digital platforms, supporting social media and other promotional activities as required.. Manage social media accounts, creating engaging content that promotes membership benefits and activities. Conduct analysis of membership data using tools such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Excel to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with the marketing team on B2B marketing initiatives, utilising copywriting skills to create compelling promotional materials. Oversee project management tasks related to membership events and initiatives, ensuring all deadlines are met. Provide administrative support, including maintaining records, preparing reports using Microsoft Office applications, and assisting with presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint. Foster strong relationships with members through effective communication and leadership skills.

Membership Administration



Manage membership renewals, cancellations, and new member applications. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in NWAA's CRM and data systems. Keep member benefits documentation current. Maintain regular contact with members to support retention and engagement.

Events Support



Assist in the planning, booking, and coordination of venues for events and industry shows. Manage delegate bookings and event registrations. Order and prepare promotional materials (e.g., banners, pop-up stands). Attend events and exhibitions to provide on-site support when required.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a similar role or environment is preferred. Strong management skills with the ability to lead projects effectively. Proficiency in digital marketing tools such as Google Ads, WordPress, and Adobe Photoshop is advantageous. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail; ability to interpret data effectively. Exceptional time management and organisational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on copywriting for various platforms. Familiarity with email marketing strategies and social media management practices is essential. A background in IT or technical support can be beneficial but is not mandatory. Preferred Skills
