Marketing Officer

Hours: 37.5 per week, 52 weeks per year.

Salary: The salary for the post will be 25,767.00 on the support staff scale. Incremental rises on the scale will be available annually, subject to satisfactory performance appraisal.

Based at Durham School in the heart of Durham City, staff also benefit from free onsite parking, exemption from the Durham Congestion Charge & also lunch provision with a selection of hot and cold meals provided daily.

Annual Leave 25 days paid holiday (increasing annually to 30 days after 5 years' service) calculated pro-rata + 8 public holidays + 3 days efficiency closure at Christmas

To enhance Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation's reputation as the North's leading provider of independent education for children aged 3 to 18, based in the heart of Durham City.

The role holder is responsible for marketing and communications activity as set out in the School Marketing Strategy and annual marketing plan.

Job Overview:

To enhance Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation's reputation as the North's leading provider of independent education for children aged 3 to 18, based in the heart of Durham City. The successful candidate will be a proactive and organised individual with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, creative, and able to multi-task and manage competing priorities. This role is part of a small and busy team providing support across the areas of admissions and marketing, with a specific focus on developing the school's social media profile. As such, we are seeking someone who works effectively within a team but who is also confident working independently. The diverse demands of the job require someone resilient and flexible.
