The Role



An exciting opportunity has become available within Fresh Futures' Income and Engagement Team. We are seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Officer to join our team.

Established in 1974, Fresh Futures is a regional charity that supports vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people, and their families, within Kirklees and surrounding areas. Why the role exists and overall responsibility



To raise awareness of the charity's mission, services and impact through clear, engaging and consistent marketing and communications. To support the charity's strategic aims by effectively promoting programmes, campaigns, events and fundraising activity. To engage and grow audiences, including service users, supporters, partners, funders and the wider community. To increase visibility and reach through the creation and management of high-quality digital and printed materials. To strengthen the charity's online presence through regular website updates and active social media management. To support income generation by producing marketing materials that encourage donations, participation and partnership. To ensure communications are accessible, inclusive and aligned with the charity's values.

Main activities



Design and produce a range of marketing and communications materials, including leaflets, posters, reports, presentations and digital assets. Oversee the charity's social media channels, including planning content, creating posts, scheduling, monitoring engagement and responding where appropriate. Maintain and regularly update the charity's website to ensure content is accurate, engaging and up to date. Create clear, compelling written content for different audiences, including service users, supporters, partners and funders. Support the promotion of events, campaigns and fundraising activities through coordinated marketing activity. Work with colleagues across the organisation to gather stories, case studies and impact data for use in communications. Ensure all marketing and communications materials are consistent with the charity's brand, values and tone of voice. Ensure communications are accessible, inclusive and compliant with relevant policies and guidelines.

Knowledge, training and experience required



Experience of working in a marketing, communications or similar role, or demonstrable transferable experience. Knowledge of creating engaging content for digital platforms, including social media and websites. Experience of producing marketing materials such as leaflets, posters, digital assets and presentations. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences. Understanding of brand consistency and the importance of clear, accurate messaging. Experience of using content management systems (CMS) and social media scheduling tools, or a willingness to learn. Ability to plan and manage workload effectively, meeting deadlines and balancing multiple priorities. Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
