Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing & Public Relations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that enhance our brand's reputation and foster positive relationships with the media, stakeholders, and the public. This role requires a creative thinker with a strong background in public relations who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.

Duties

Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies to promote the organisation's objectives and initiatives. Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and key stakeholders to secure positive coverage. Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials that effectively convey our messages. Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on public relations activities, highlighting successes and areas for improvement. Organise press events, conferences, and other promotional activities to enhance visibility and engagement. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms. Manage crisis communications effectively, providing timely information to mitigate potential negative impacts on the organisation's reputation.

Qualifications

Proven experience in public relations or a related field, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor messages for different audiences. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation. Exceptional organisational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Proficiency in using social media platforms for brand promotion and engagement is highly desirable. A degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or a related field is preferred but not essential if experience is demonstrable.
