We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Services Manager to join the Pitch - Marketing team, based in the A&O Shearman Belfast office.

Our business development, marketing and communication teams contribute to the setting and achievement of the firm's business objectives, which includes supporting our partners and associates in their pursuit of becoming our clients' trusted advisers, building and maintaining long-lasting client relationships, winning new clients, increasing the visibility of the firm globally, and positioning the firm as the thought leader and most advanced law firm among the global elite. The function works as one team across the globe with very close collaboration between the central groups and professionals supporting offices, practice groups, sectors and clients.
What you will do
Team Leadership & People Management
Lead and manage the Belfast Pitch Team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Oversee HR responsibilities including workload allocation, time management, absences and holiday cover.
Develop team members through clear objectives, training needs identification and regular performance (Compass) reviews.
Implement formal management procedures when required.
Coach and nurture talent, recognising strong performance and supporting career progression.
Lead by example, promoting professionalism, quality and continuous improvement.
Service Delivery & Operations
Ensure high-quality, consistent and efficient pitch support aligned with KPIs and SLAs.
Strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing across the Pitch team.
Identify and implement improvements to processes, tools and ways of working.
Serve as an escalation point for complex issues and provide operational support when needed.
Communicate and reinforce management decisions professionally, including delivering challenging messages constructively.
What you will have
Significant proven experience within a professional services environment, ideally in a service-delivery, operations, workflow, or team-management capacity.
Exposure to pitch, proposals, or client-delivery processes would be advantageous.
Strong experience in managing a service or operational team (Team Lead or Manager level), with proven people-management and leadership capability.
Demonstrable experience working with stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of seniority, with the confidence to influence, challenge and collaborate effectively.
A strong, proactive approach to delivering high-quality service, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Highly organised, analytical, and able to maintain exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, positive working relationships.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work confidently with individuals at all levels and across different cultures.
Ability to work under pressure while remaining calm, responsive, and solutions-focused.
Proven ability to prioritise and manage both personal workload and the workload of others, ensuring effective resource allocation.
