The Role



Dark Matter is a hybrid consultancy operating at the intersection of technology, business, and society. We translate first-hand intelligence into creative impact, ranging from strategic foresight for tech brands and governments to broadcast-quality documentary and drama series. Producing independent Dark Matter content, as well as in partnership with global sponsors, there is an opportunity for a curious, ambitious individual to join us and promote our mission at Dark Matter.

We are looking for a creative and strategically minded Marketing & Social Media Manager to lead our end-to-end marketing efforts. This role will drive the Dark Matter narrative, amplify our research and intelligence, and position our founder, campaigns and film projects at the centre of the global conversation on our digital future.

Key Responsibilities



1. Social Media Strategy & Execution



Dark Matter and Film-Specific Channels:

Translate our intelligence and research findings into compelling, timely social narratives. Manage and grow Dark Matter's presence across LinkedIn, as well as our Founder's, and create other channels where appropriate for future strategic direction and film projects including X, Facebook and Instagram channels.

YouTube Growth:

YouTube is our primary content engine, and we are in the process of launching a new series that would be driven by this role. The goal is to grow subscribers, views and engagement. This role will manage the workflow for uploads, optimise for discovery, and develop content plans including repurposing archival long-form content into shorts and clips.

2. Content & Campaign Promotion



Film & TV Promotion:

Working with the leadership and production teams, you will develop and execute marketing campaigns for our documentary and drama series.

Intelligence & Reports:

Develop and lead a marketing growth strategy for subscriptions and coverage of our bi-monthly Intelligence Report.

3. PR & Earned Media



Speaker Management:

Identify and secure high-profile speaking opportunities.

Media Relations:

Build relationships with journalists where applicable in the tech, business, and film sectors. Management of external PR agency may be required if the film project warrants it.

4. Community & Growth



Audience:

Develop and manage our network of policymakers, technologists, academics and leaders.

Analytics:

Track and report on growth, performance, socials

Community / Digital Platforms:

Managing and updating project specific and Dark Matter digital platforms.

Database Management:

Manage our CRM.

Skills and Experience



We're looking for someone who is genuinely interested in the way technology is reshaping our world and wants to do work that matters.

5+ years in a marketing and social media position Confident communicator Strategically minded with a can-do attitude and curious in nature Experience in growing audiences across YouTube Proactive and problem solving Creativity in developing end-to-end marketing plans for research intelligence as well as films. Comfortable with end-to-end marketing execution Narrative and storytelling driven. A genuine interest in Dark Matter's mission and values A passion for technology, innovation, and social impact.

Pay: 27,021.21-35,978.58 per year
