The Role: Marketing Specialist
Location:
Caerphilly HQ (with flexible/remote working and occasional travel to Newport and other South Wales locations)
Contract:
Fixed Term until March 2026 (with a vision to extend)
Salary:
24,570 per year
Hours:
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

As our Marketing Specialist, you'll play a key role in connecting our message with the people who need to hear it most, whether that's entrepreneurs, community partners, or course participants. You'll help deliver meaningful campaigns, grow our digital presence, and ensure everything we put out reflects our purpose, energy, and values.
You'll also occasionally support the wider team by covering roles such as the reception desk and helping uphold our hub standards--making sure our spaces stay welcoming, professional, and well-organised.
What You'll Be Doing
Support the Marketing Manager to deliver engaging campaigns and organised projects.
Grow and manage Welsh ICE's social media channels (Meta, LinkedIn & TikTok) with compelling, consistent content.
Create digital content, from graphics to videos and newsletters, that tells our story and supports our services.
Design creative marketing assets using tools like Canva or Adobe Suite.
Promote our business support, coworking, training programmes, and events across social, email, Eventbrite, and our website.
Maintain and update our website, ensuring content is fresh, relevant, and accessible.
Conduct market research and monitor trends to inform content and campaigns.
Build and maintain positive relationships with our community, acting as a friendly and professional point of contact.
Monitor analytics and performance across platforms to help guide future strategy.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who's creative, detail-oriented, and loves working with people. You don't need to tick every box, but here's what we think would help you thrive in this role:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you know how to tell a story and connect with different audiences.
A fantastic eye for detail and quality, with strong organisational skills.
Design confidence - comfortable using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
A good understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing techniques.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to manage your own workload.
Curious and creative - someone who spots trends, tries new things, and enjoys solving problems.
Interest or knowledge in areas like SEO, PPC advertising, and data analysis.
Experience using platforms like Mailchimp, Eventbrite, and social media scheduling tools.
A team player with a flexible and supportive approach to work.
Welsh language skills would be a bonus (but not essential).
