Job Description

As our marketing & website content assistant you'll support the planning and execution of marketing strategies that boost awareness of Slingsby group brands and drive engagement. Your day-to-day will be diverse and will include tasks across both online and offline marketing. The role will involve creating SEO optimised content for websites including additional product descriptions and engaging blog posts, as well as supporting the design of targeted email marketing campaigns. On other days, you'll contribute to organising exhibitions and coordinate promotional activities. As a key member of the team and wider business, you'll ensure our marketing initiatives are delivered on time, remain consistent and achieve an effective impact by carrying out the following responsibilities.

Digital Marketing & Web Content -



1. Assist with the company's online and digital marketing programmes including search engine optimisation (SEO), pay per click (ppc) and other paid campaigns, affiliate marketing and electronic mail programmes.

2. Develop the website to improve customer experience and sales through web merchandising, cross sells and upsells and evolution of our online presence and web offering.

3. Managing social media channels and regularly posting content to promote our product offering and day to day business activities.

4. Assist with reporting on digital marketing performance and identifying areas for concern and improvement.

5. Suggest improvements to website look and functionality to improve customer experience.

Wider Marketing Tasks

1. Contribute to the development of our wider marketing activity with promotions and other initiatives to raise the profile of the business.

2. Coordinate offline marketing opportunities including managing exhibitions and assisting with print marketing tasks.

3. Assist with planning and maintaining the marketing activity calendar.

4. Create and manage promotional codes.

5. Monitor, manage and formulate responses to customer review sites such as Feefo, TrustPilot and Google.

6. Process and organise data through the businesses content management systems as requested.

7. Order, manage stock and mail out promotional goods to wider business colleagues.

8. Coordinate the production and distribution of marketing materials, such as brochures, catalogues and promotional materials. This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and as the role evolves additional requirements are likely to be added.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate is a highly organised individual who is capable of working on their own initiative. You will need to display versatility in order to handle ad-hoc marketing administration projects as assigned. While experience with systems such as Magento and Klaviyo or knowledge of copywriting would be advantageous it is not essential and further training can be provided.

Qualifications (advantageous but not essential) -



Knowledge and experience of copywriting with an eye for detail and SEO best practices. Marketing or equivalent relevant experience of 1 year or more. Organisational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
