Marketplace Assistant
Position: Temp-Perm, full-time. Flexible hybrid working.
Hours: Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday, 08:45am \xe2\x80\x93 17:30pm.
Location: Plymouth, Devon

As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Marketplace Assistant to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

Responsibilities: You will be required to:

  • Support the Marketplace team to drive sales, maximise profit and achieve SLA targets on the platform, ensuring its continued growth.
  • Assist in sourcing, listing, and managing new Partner accounts.
  • Research, compile and interpret data to formulate strategies with Partners and support them to achieve targets and sales growth.
  • Developing a full understanding of the online category statistics, key SLA\xe2\x80\x99s, commercial factors, and monitor competitor activity.
  • Analyse seasonal trends and missing opportunities where we can adapt and expand our existing category listings.
  • Being a liaison point between multiple departments within the business, you will need to be an excellent communicator, able to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Work closely with the Marketplace Manager, Marketing and Trading teams to launch and promote new Partners and products, to ensure the continued growth.
  • Ability to work in a diverse, cross-functional team environment (including Development, Multichannel, Customer Services, and Buying), using initiative to identify any possible issues and propose solutions to resolve.
  • Work closely on product promotion decisions and product launches, analysing ecommerce performance statistics, pertinent commercial information and challenges.
  • Support promotional campaigns and events with a full and diverse product offering to drive sales.
  • High attention to detail and the management of multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ensure all relevant administrative, financial and system procedures are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
Essential & Preferred Skills & Requirements
  • A degree is preferred but not essential, however you will have strong written, numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong commercial understanding, being able to demonstrate knowledge of and an interest in retail and on-line selling.
  • Confident with Microsoft Excel and capable of working with formulas and graphs.
  • Interpersonal and excellent communication skills are priority.
  • You will be committed and confident with strong administrative, organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • You will be comfortable working both individually and with a team.
