. This role offers children a fun and engaging introduction to martial arts while helping them develop strength, coordination, focus, and confidence within a safe and encouraging environment.
The club runs
Fridays, 3:30pm - 4:30pm (1 hour per week).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and guide small groups of primary-aged children through beginner martial arts activities.
Plan and deliver structured, age-appropriate sessions that promote physical fitness, discipline, and self-control.
Foster teamwork, respect, confidence, and enjoyment throughout each session.
Maintain clear communication with school staff and, when appropriate, parents about children's progress and engagement.
Ensure all equipment and activity areas are well-prepared, safe, and organised before each session.
Experience & Skills
Experience teaching martial arts or karate to children in schools, clubs, or community settings.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage young learners in a structured, enjoyable environment.
Strong English communication skills for effective interaction with children, staff, and parents.
Relevant martial arts coaching qualifications or experience are highly desirable.
