. This role provides children with a fun, structured introduction to martial arts, supporting their physical development while building confidence, focus, and coordination in a positive and safe environment.
The club runs
Fridays from 3:30pm to 4:30pm (1 hour per week).
Key Responsibilities
Lead small groups of primary-aged children in beginner-level martial arts activities.
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate sessions that encourage physical fitness, discipline, and self-control.
Create a supportive atmosphere that promotes teamwork, respect, confidence, and enjoyment.
Communicate effectively with school staff and, where appropriate, parents regarding children's participation and progress.
Ensure all equipment and activity spaces are prepared, organised, and safe prior to each session.
Experience & Skills
Previous experience teaching martial arts or karate to children in school, club, or community settings.
Ability to motivate and engage young learners in a structured yet enjoyable way.
Strong spoken English skills to communicate clearly with children, staff, and parents.
Martial arts coaching qualifications or relevant experience are highly desirable.
