We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Martial Arts Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in martial arts, with the ability to teach various disciplines such as Karate, Judo, and other forms of martial arts. This role involves instructing students of all ages, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting physical fitness through martial arts training. The instructor will also engage in behavior management to ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere for all participants.
Duties
Conduct engaging and effective martial arts classes for students of varying skill levels.
Develop lesson plans that incorporate techniques, drills, and physical conditioning tailored to student needs.
Provide individualized instruction and feedback to help students improve their skills.
Maintain a safe training environment by enforcing safety protocols and managing student behavior effectively.
Organize and participate in events, competitions, or demonstrations to promote the martial arts program.
Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the overall curriculum and student experience.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the community to encourage participation in martial arts programs.
Requirements
Proven experience in martial arts instruction or coaching, with expertise in disciplines such as Karate, Judo, or similar forms.
Background in teaching physical education or sports coaching is highly desirable.
Experience working with students of all ages, particularly children, is essential.
Skills in behavior management to maintain discipline and respect within classes.
Additional experience in related areas such as lifeguarding, childcare, swimming, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, or health club operations is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
