 Hybrid Working
About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Cambridgeshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of safeguarding practice - where information sharing, professional analysis, and early decision-making make a real difference to children's lives.
As part of our MASH team, you'll work closely with colleagues from the police, health, education, early help, and other key partners to identify risk, share information, and make timely, proportionate decisions that ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and triage contacts/referrals regarding children and families, gathering and analysing information from partner agencies.
Assess the level of risk and need to determine the most appropriate response - from early help through to statutory intervention.
Undertake professional analysis and ensure timely and proportionate decision-making in line with threshold criteria and safeguarding procedures.
Contribute to strategy discussions, safeguarding enquiries, and assessments as needed.
Produce high-quality written work - including assessments, case summaries, and reports for meetings or court when required.
Work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to promote safety, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.
Maintain accurate, timely case records in line with policy and best practice.
About You:
Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England.
Experience working within children's social care, particularly in safeguarding, assessment, or child protection.
Skilled at analysing risk, applying thresholds, and making confident, evidence-based decisions.
Excellent communication, recording, and partnership working skills.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-agency environment.
Flexible, resilient, and committed to improving outcomes for children and families.
What they offer:
Competitive salary and generous annual leave entitlement.
Access to excellent professional development and training opportunities.
 Supportive and collaborative multi-agency environment.
Hybrid working arrangements (some home working).
 Local Government Pension Scheme.
 Employee assistance and well-being support.
How to Apply:
If you're passionate about safeguarding children and want to work in a dynamic, supportive environment where your professional judgement makes a real difference - we'd love to hear from you.
