We are seeking a Master Data Manager (Finance) to lead the day-to-day operations and expansion of master data team and processes within our Global Finance Shared Services Centre based in Wrexham, serving the Ipsen Group. This role is pivotal in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across finance data objects in over 36 countries. You will drive data quality initiatives, manage a team of specialists, and collaborate with stakeholders to embed a strong data culture.
Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce finance master data governance policies, standards, and workflows.
  • Oversee creation, maintenance, and integrity of master data across SAP ECC6/S4 systems.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data stewards and analysts, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to resolve data issues and support system integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate risks related to finance master data.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
  • Significant experience in Master Data Management, or strong Finance background with extensive experience and understanding of finance Master Data Management
  • Good understanding of large ERP systems, ideally SAP/S4 but similar systems will be an advantage e.g. Oracle, Microsoft AX.
  • Natural leader - Ability to develop, mentor and coach team members through a period of change.
