Material Controller /Trainer



Location: Glenrothes/Frances

Dayshift - 7.00 am - 3.00 pm, Monday to Friday

The Role



The role as a Material Controller/Trainer will oversee the flow and control of material within the branch and report on material KPI. The Material Controller/Trainer will implement control measures to ensure stock accuracy system as well as physical stock. The role will involve looking at best practice for system training, standard stores process training and maintaining training records.

Key Job Responsibilities



Monitoring inventory levels of materials and ensuring they are adequate to meet demand. Within the main Stores.

Investigation and reporting stock losses identifying RCCA.

Coordinating with internal customers to arrange delivery of materials.

Communicating with Material Manager and Operations Managers about any issues that may impact the project schedule.

Assisting with audits of paperwork and shipments.

Auditing and correcting issues that may occur in stock levels within the facility.

Monitoring and ensuring work areas are clean and safe.

Monitoring Company Material KPI Cycle counts. & update systems where appropriate

Work with Materials Manager to provide solutions on Inventory accuracy and controls.

Communicate Cycle Count results with details.

Co-ordinate line stock cycle counts.

Responsible for reporting KPI on Cycle Count Accuracy, Put away, DMR.

Training - Create Training Instructions. (That cover materials i.e. issuing material etc )

Provide training to the Warehouse Operators to a level of competency that allows self awareness of activity requirements.

Microsoft experience

Skills



Warehouse and company system knowledge

Experience in MS Software packages

Experience of manual handling

Knowledge of stock handling and rotation

Previous counterbalance FLT experience/current license

A working understanding/knowledge of an ERP System
