We currently have a vacancy for

Material Handler - 6 months Fixed Term Contract

who will be a part of a wider team within the Machine Shop. This role will report to the Machine Shop Manager.

As a Material Handler within the Machine Shopyou will be responsible for the following:-

Assist with product movement within the Machine Shop and other departments.

Prevent any non-conforming product passing to next production department. To ensure continuity of production of quality parts ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved. To ensure that all work meets customer (internal and external) expectations on delivery and quality. To be flexible and adaptable and move between work areas if required. To ensure that high standards of health, safety and housekeeping are met. To undertake daily forklift truck checks. Participate in routine housekeeping activities plus other 6s activities. To undertake additional training within work area in line with the company needs. To undertake any other role within skill capability as specified by the Machine Shop Manager to comply with legislative requirements.
We operate in a safety critical environment, and at all times safety is our overarching priority. You will be expected to maintain our production process within strict, set, control parameters to ensure quality, safety, compliance and product integrity.

Applicants should have FLT experience, preferably gained within a heavy engineering environment. A flexible working, "can do" attitude and strong team ethic is also required.

A proven track record of self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under pressure, excellent attention to detail and experience of working within a regulated quality-controlled process is essential.
