Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials within our workshop while helping control stock levels.

Duties

Performing stock takes on component parts when required. Control the Movement of component parts from the machine shop and store in dedicated storage areas around the workshop. Storing/loading of bought in materials. Help with cutting of sectional steel lengths inline with production needs. Operate a forklift and other machinery (when trained) as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Engage in heavy lifting tasks as necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and maintain high standards of productivity.

Skills

Ideally experience in using a forklift truck and gantry, training will be provided to the right candidate. Excellent materials handling skills, ensuring the safe transport of goods within the workshop. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. A commitment to maintaining safety standards and promoting a positive workplace culture.
